The Vail Recreation District delivers high-energy excitement via vast and varied programming for both adults and children, including mountain biking, trail running, sand volleyball, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball and more. Leagues, special events and sports camps deliver lasting memories for all.
Vail Recreation District All Summer Camps
The Vail Recreation District offers diverse and exceptional summer youth camps for both visiting and local children. From adventure and ecology to skateboarding or science, there’s a camp that’s perfect for children ages 30 months to 12 years. Camps fill quickly and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Vail Swim School
Safe, Fun and Affordable! Vail Swim School is a learn to swim program. We offer flexible class schedules for ages 6 months to adults. Our programs include: Baby and Me classes, Private and Semi private lessons, Swim Team Prep classes, Swim Team and Adult classes. Winter/Spring classes take place at the convenient Avon Recreation Center. All ages and swim levels are welcome.

Vail Mountain Bike Camps
Vail Mountain Bike Camps offer mountain bike instruction from a world-class staff for kids and adults. Learn the skills of mountain biking in a fun and beautiful environment. Programs include camps for ages 7-13, an afternoon adventure camp, a Jr. Race Academy for ages 10-16, women’s programs, and private and group instruction for kids and adults.
Gore Range Natural Science School Summer Camp
Outdoor discovery and fun begins with Gore Range Natural Science School. Unforgettable programs taught by expert instructors feature mammals, geology, birds, dinos, plants, art and much more! Multi-day, weeklong and overnight camps for youth entering 1st through 8th grade. Scholarships available.
