Eagle County Colorado

The Eagle County Board of Commissioners is committed to providing leadership to the entire community in areas of critical importance to our county.

Responsible land use is an issue that affects everyone in Eagle County, no matter where you live. One of our goals is to add comprehensive planning elements to the county’s land use code that addresses the impacts of growth. These impacts include where to house our workforce, efficient transportation and protection of Eagle County’s most precious resource: our open space and scenic vistas.

Eagle County is working on the best ways to invest in our physical and social infrastructure to ensure the quality of life of our residents and visitors. We’re developing better recycling programs and facilities at our landfill to help every community in the county find better ways to recycle their waste. We’re taking a look at our own facilities and vehicle fleet to make sure they are energy efficient and environmentally friendly, and we’ve initiated the BrightStart program to provide services that support the development of young children and strengthen family life.

As county commissioners, we’re proud to serve the community. We’re deeply committed to the trust you’ve placed in us as elected officials, and look forward to working together to make Eagle County and even better place to live, work and play for all of us.
