Let your Imagination Run Wild!

The Imagination Station encourages kids to explore how things work and create through art or dramatic play in its exhibits and playscapes. Take a break from your active day to entertain and engage with your kids in this new facility. Children will observe how things work, make changes and see how this affects the outcome – they use the scientific process and learn to solve problems while having fun. Kids can be creative through dramatic play, making music or painting, and all this mess and noise is not in your home or condo! Drop in with your children for only $5 for two people. The Imagination Station also provides drop-off service to help adults get out for an afternoon bike ride or an evening of dining. Drop off 3 year olds and older (must be toilettrained) for up to three hours of supervised play for $10/child/hour.
At the time of publication, the Imagination Station is open afternoons and evenings Wednesday through Sunday – call for weekly programs, hours and pricing. The Imagination Station is an excellent place for birthday parties – give them a call.
This new facility is located above the Subway Sandwich shop in the Lionshead Parking Structure, Vail.

Babes in Toyland
By Megan Mowbry
With so much focus on outdoor fun and intense physical activity, it’s nice to know that Eagle County offers some good times for the little ones, and I mean the tiny ones.
Newborns can join their mommies at yoga class to work on stretching, breathing, and all that other good stuff at Synergy Yoga in Avon. Mothers can sign up for classes while the little ones are still kicking inside, as well as after they have popped out. During pregnancy, the yoga positions alleviate pain and build a strong core for childbirth. When junior joins in, he participates as a weight for mom, as well as in his own stretches and bends. Babies can be held, or lay down on their own. For more information call Synergy at (970) 748-1911.
If you would rather spend time furthering baby’s education, check out Baby Story Time at the Avon, Gypsum, and Eagle Public Libraries. Sponsored by the nationally recognized Every Child Ready to Read program, the library hosts a lap-sit story hour for newborns to 18 months, as well as a toddler story hour from 18 months to three years. The programs focus on early literacy and helping children gain skills for school. For more information, call (970) 949-6797.
For guests of the Beaver Creek Resort, children from ages 2 month to five years can attend the Small World Play School. Arts and crafts are only part of the activities your little one can embark upon in this day camp from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lunch and snacks are provided.
